Description
Apricot is the fruit of Prunus armeniaca, commonly called apricot and belongs to the family of Rosaceae, the same of the pruno, peach and cherry. Native to China, the apricot tree spread throughout Europe thanks to the Romans following the conquest of Armenia, the Caucasian region from which its name derives. It has a history of over 4000 years and can reach, in the wild, the 13 meters of height.
